Big Sibling Class

Today was Little Love's Big Sibling Class though Methodist. I've had a few friends that have done this with their kids and they highly recommended it. I am so glad we went because it seemed to be a huge hit. Little love had a great time and was such a sweet little Momma to her baby doll. It just melted by heart!

When we arrived, they handed out little goodie bags with all sorts of fun stuff in them and had markers and cards on the table so the kids could color a Happy Birthday card for the new baby.

Then they all gathered around Miss B for her to read them a story about "Mommy having a Baby" and then they looked at different sized babies that were at different gestational ages. It was funny to see them passing these little fetuses around but maybe helped put into perspective how little these little bundles of joy are in the beginning.

It was then time for snack and a showing of Arthur. It was about the day Arthur and D.W. became a big brother and big sister. L was entranced during the video and was then ready to start practicing all she had learned. It was now the time she had been waiting for, they passed out the baby dolls and L was able to feed, burp, swaddle, and change her babies diaper. She was so excited about all of it and was so willing to help. I sure hope she is this willing come October.

After all the fun with the baby dolls, we went on a tour of the new Women's Pavilion and even made a trip by the nursery to see a new baby. It was so much fun and just made it that much more real that in the very near future, that will be our reality.
